Application Process
Bengeo Playgroup has one intake which is in September and children stay for one academic year then transition to Bengeo Nursery the following year (this has to be applied for and is subject to availability). Your child will be due to join us in the September if they turn 3 year old, when attending between the 1st September to the following 31st August.
For example Born 1 Sept 2015 – 31 Aug 2016: start September 2018
Children can be registered with us from birth.

When your application is received your child is then placed on the waiting list and we will send you an email to confirm this. Parents will receive a letter early February before their child would be due to start, requesting confirmation that a place is still required and what sessions you would like to request. This information is collected and places are allocated to children following our policies.

We want your child to feel safe and happy while you are away. We hold a "Open Evening" once your allocated session have been confirmed and a ‘welcome session’ before your child starts at the beginning of term. This is an opportunity for you and your child to see the setting and meet the team. We will run through a typical day, let the children have a play with their new friends, go through some forms and introduce you and your child to their Key Person. We will chat to you and your child about their likes/dislikes and run through any questions you may have. The meeting usually lasts an hour. We find this helps introduce your child in a gentle and calm way to the setting and assists with them settling into playgroup smoothly.

Visits to the playgroup are welcomed and can be arranged by appointment with Liz Llewellyn.
